Prusa MK4I went and did it: I ordered a Prusa Mk4 kit. Not only because the kit is cheaper, but assembling it myself seems like fun (to me, anyway). If the lead time estimates can be trusted, I've got 6 to 8 weeks to wait (longer wouldn't surprise me), so I'm coming up with projects I can do in the meantime. Printer Room: I've been reorganizing the place to make room. I don't think I need to document all the details of that. (Though one annoyance is having to wait a week for the casters for the wire shelf I added to the room). I've started to do enough work on the printer room now, that I made a new page for it. Enclosure: See enclosure details. MMU3: By the time the kit arrives and gets assembled, the MMU3 might be available for the MK4, so that will be the next kit to assemble. I'm in the process of adding MMU friendly enhancements to the printer room. Delivery: With nothing better to do while waiting on the kit to arrive, I can track the delivery process... Build: Kit arrived and here is my build experience. |
