Moscow Mitch and the republicans want to steal the 2020 elections.

If you have ever wondered if your vote counted, this is the election where it will count the most.

Republicans will crank all their dirty tricks up to 11:

• Voter suppression
• Voter registration suppression in Tennessee with a different approach in Texas.
• Block legislation to secure elections
• Encourage Russian election interference
• Continue to use paperless machines. (Surprise! Mostly red states love their paperless machines.)
• Ballot tampering and more ballot tampering
• Now they are blocking FEC probes of illegal Russia money.
• Next up, render the FEC useless. No FEC quorum, no way for the FEC to do any work. Just what republicans need to simplify stealing the election.
• Voter intimidation, throw one voter in jail for 5 years for making a mistake, and maybe lots of others will think twice about voting.
• I see in this article, turnout was way down in Afghanistan's presidential election because of the fears of election violence. That's gotta attract Mitch's notice. I wonder how long before our election republicans will start taking up the threat of election violence? Reduced turnout will be just what they need to successfully steal the election.
• Here's a good one from Ohio. Shucks, combine voter purges with the Texas 5 year prison sentence for a mistaken provisional ballot, and you've really got a grand voter prevention scheme. How many rejected voters will fill out a provisional ballot when there are notices on the wall about 5 year sentences for making a mistake?

• In the every stolen vote helps department: The GOP arranges for their candidates to be listed first.
• Georgia has brand new voting machines which were a huge success according to the secretary of state. I guess republicans consider faulty machines to be the kind of success they want.
• Kentucky, on the other hand (home state of Moscow Mitch) has machines that are falling apart, and Mitch likes them that way.
• Oh look! Now Wisconsin has found a compliant judge to help purge the rolls of potential democratic voters there.
• Good one: Republicans can now place armed "ballot security" goons in polling places, that shouldn't intimidate any voters, right?. Show of hands: How many people think these goons will only show up in democratic minory voter districts?
• Oh look! The courts said the GOP voting law discriminated. Surprise, surprise, surprise!
• In case anyone needs more evidence that republicans have nothing but bad intentions with their voter purges, Here's a recent court decision requiring Georgia to hand over all the information they wanted to keep secret about how they picked records to purge.
• How great is this? Republicans may not need to spread rumors about election violence to keep the vote down. They'll be able to selectively declare coronavirus lockdowns on election day in heavily democratic districts. Every cloud has a silver lining!
• Who could have guessed it? The majority of polling places closed in Texas are in black and latino districts. Just a coincidence I'm sure, merely practicing fiscal responsibility.

• Oh look! Republicans are so addled they are now coming right out and saying they are opposed to people voting because republicans would lose if everyone voted. Here's Donald Trump. • And now, I give you Wisconsin! Republicans are literally (proper usage for once) hoping to kill people in order to suppress the vote.
• You know, evil villains in fiction usually try to mask their plots with a legitimate veneer of some kind. But on Thursday Aug. 13, 2020 Donald Trump said (as though it were a legitimate reason) he does not want to fund the U.S. Postal Service because Democrats are seeking to expand main-in voting during the coronavirus pandemic.

And the above list doesn't even include new things republicans will be inventing just for 2020. Trump is so deranged, if the thought of losing bigly manages to penetrate his bubble, I don't have much difficulty imagining him asking his “2nd amendment people” to surround polling places in democratic precincts.

Wait! I forgot lying! That isn't a new tactic, but it will be pushed to the most extreme levels ever in 2020. The republicans know what a degenerate lying corrupt inhuman monster Trump is in real life, their task will be to make democrats seem even worse by lying about them. Expect to see tales of incest, pedophilia, bestiality (probably all at the same time). Expect to hear about all the crimes democrats committed which were covered up by the corrupt cops and FBI. Expect to hear about all their connections to foreign terrorist groups. Expect to hear that democrats want to take away your guns and your hamburgers. Expect to hear that democrats want to take away your health care. The onslaught will be nonstop, and none of it will be true. Try to remember who the actual degenerates are.

Democrats have one and only one way to counter all the dirty tricks: Massive turnout. Turnout so large that all the republican tricks will only amount to a drop in the bucket.

There has never been an election in your life where it was more important to vote.

George Wallace used to say “There ain't a dime's worth of difference between the Republicans and the Democrats.”

Well, that's not true in 2020. This election is the difference between America continuing to exist as a democracy and America being transformed permanently into some kind of cheap dictatorship, it isn't even beyond the bounds of possibility we'd get a hereditary Trump Presidency his evangelical supporters claim is a divine right.

Here's a much more eloquent description of republicans hate for democracy than I could ever write myself: Russia can stand down. The GOP is interfering with election results all on its own.
