New Power SupplyOver in my yet to be implemented Bed Heater Upgrade project, I mentioned getting the Meanwell power supply. It has been running nothing but a few fans for years, but the solidoodle started acting somewhat flaky, and now that my new printer is working, I could afford to have the solidoodle broken if I did something stoopid. So, I cut the cord off the old solidoodle power brick, and attached it to the new Meanwell power supply. That way I definitely have the correct power connector on the cord. I also only have one thing to plug in now, so I cleaned up some clutter, getting rid of a power strip. Cranked it up the first time to see that everything worked, and it is clear I should have done this long ago. The motors run quieter. The lights shine brighter, it still prints coorectly, and so far there has been no hint of flaky behavior. The old power supply can go in the electronics recycling bin.
