Cola RampI've uploaded this to thingiverse as Cola Ramp. Nothing more dangerous than a retiree with a 3D printer. This time I've devised a ramp to hold a 12 pack soda carton at an angle so the cans will roll to the front all by themselves. Sure there are racks you can buy, but you have to take the soda out of the carton and put them in the rack. Far too much trouble when the carton itself could be the rack. A couple of 3D printed pieces for the front and back, a couple of pieces of aluminum angle iron cut to length, some cyanoacrylate glue and accelerator spray, and a masterpiece is born: A test fit verifies that a 12 pack fits nicely: And it also fits in the refrigerator with a millimeter or two to spare so the door closes and the drawer above the soda works without scraping the 12 pack: It also seems to be plenty strong enough to hold up a full carton just as well as an empty one. Update: Due to imperfect boxes and cans, sometimes they won't roll to the front. There isn't any space to make the angle steeper in my fridge, so I added a can puller to the arsenal: It hangs on a hook on the refrigerator so it will be handy when needed. |
