Air Fryer Chicken Tenders

I wanted to try chicken tenders in the air fryer and found these Perdue tenders in the freezer case at Publix.

The instructions say 425 for 10 to 13 minutes, but the Instant Vortex only goes up to 400, so I used 400 at 13 minutes. The tenders are fairly small and six of them fit in the top tray.

They come out extremely crispy, with lots of drippage and droplets sprayed around the oven (but it wiped up fairly easily, a lot of it seemed to be water). Perhaps I should try them in the middle rack next time with the empty tray on top to cut down on the spray.

I put three each (I said they were small) in wraps with mayo and pickles to make chicken wraps. They were pretty good.

Got a different kind of tender this week. They are larger and actually have whole pieces of chicken instead of parts. The package called for more time to heat up, so I tried 20 minutes at 400, which may have made them more crispy than I like. 15 minutes would probably have been fine.

Meanwhile, got another kind. Tyson breaded chicken breast tenders and several internet articles say 380 for 10 minutes.
