Grilled CheeseGrilled cheese sandwiches are supposed to be so easy, but I always either burn them, or wind up with cheese that isn't melted :-). Enter this air fryer grilled cheese recipe! Set the instant vortex to 370 for 8 minutes, put two sandwiches on the top shelf, flip them over at the turn food beep, and they come out perfect. The bread is toasty and the cheese is melted. A little messy with butter or mayo drips, but not too bad to clean up, and the sandwiches are worth a little clean up trouble. The biggest problem was flipping them half way through. The easiest way seems to be to put on the heat proof gloves, take out the tray, put the other tray on top, and flip the whole thing, which messes up more trays, but makes for a quick and easy flip. Need to try mozzarella cheese with pepperoni slices next. [This was good, but I liked the "normal" grilled cheese better.] Then maybe ham and cheese... Note: saw a grilled cheese sandwich recipe that used three slices, one each of cheddar, gouda, and havarti. Gave it a try and it is delicious. May be my standard grilled cheese from now on. |
