Bean and Chicken Sausage soupI stumbled across this Dutch Oven Recipe: White Bean & Chicken Sausage Stew recipe which looked really good. I made it exactly as directed in my 5qt cast iron dutch oven, and it came out really nice. It is possible I'll get tired of it and freeze the rest for later, but I'll see how I feel after eating leftovers for a few days (it made six good servings). I did use twice as much sausage because the chicken sausage I found at Publix was a 12oz package (claimed to be Italian style), and not wanting to have any left, I just diced it all up. It didn't specify exactly what kind of beans to use, so I used navy beans. Same for the kind of onion, I used a large white onion. |
