Sheet Pan Bacon

Just have this for quick reference to remember the time and temperature from the original.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Lay 8 pieces of bacon on sheet pan (The Applegate Sunday Bacon comes in packs with 7 or 8 pieces, so it is very convenient to cook this way and tastes great).

Stick pan on center rack for 20 minutes.

Take pan out of oven, put wonderful crispy perfect bacon on paper towels, pour bacon grease off pan into bacon grease container, clean pan right away while bacon is draining and cooling off.

That's wonderful for cooking a lot of bacon at once, but for just one or two pieces I use the cast iron pan. I start with the pan cold, lay in the bacon, then set the burner to low. Takes a while, but it cooks up the way I like it if you leave it alone for 15 or twenty minutes, then turn it over just once and leave for a few more minutes. After draining on some paper towels, it is wonderfully crispy and melt in your mouth delicious.

(And after draining the pan, you can cook a burger and have a bacon burger).
