Let's Get This Party Started

The utter destruction of the GOP almost certainly requires the creation of a new party to replace it. Hopefully one which remembers the definition of “conservative” and has policy goals other than “maximize cruelty” and “transfer all wealth to the 1%”.

To set the stage:

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

The founders (worshipped as infallible authorities by all the originalists), put the above paragraph right at the top of the constitution.

Wouldn't it be conservative to insure everything the government does advances one or more of those goals?

Wouldn't it be conservative to stop throwing good money after bad if something the government is doing fails to advance any of those goals?

Wouldn't it be conservative to spend the money required to accurately determine how well government programs are working to advance (or not) these goals from the preamble?

Wouldn't it be conservative to drop dogma which consistently fails to work rather than insisting it must be right because it is my dogma?

Wouldn't it be conservative to accept ideas which turn out to work even if you disagreed with them at first?

Just some things to think about. I certainly don't have the energy to organize and promote a new political party, but I welcome theft of these ideas.
