Kindle USB Hack

I have a very old Kindle 3 which works, but has a USB port which has apparently expanded over the years. Cables plugged in are loose and can rattle around and disconnect with the slightest movement.

3D printing to the rescue! I made this silly part:

A USB cable fits snugly in one end (one particular one, sincle they all have different shrouds, this was customized for just the one). The other end slides under the leather case the kindle lives in and holds it in place in the USB port.

It seems to work. I hooked it to my computer and moved the kindle around to various positions, and the USB connection never flaked out.

Probably no reason to publish the model since it is so specific to the bits and bobs I happened to use.
