All the phone stuff below is now obsolete. I've just gotten a new Samsung Intercept to replace my old phone, so the custom ring amplifier no longer fits and has been retired.

In my hope to have access to Wi-Fi for my phone in more places, I'm looking at RTL8192cu AP mode in linux for a cheap USB dongle.

My first hardware contribution to the web was this investigation of the RS-232 connection for COM2 on my Asus P4C800E motherboard.

Next came the insane tale of the cell phone ring notifier.

That was followed quickly by the Mark II ring notifier.
